From the melancholic for the melancholic, berlin-based Separator sounds like the introverted version of a post-apocalyptic road movie. Lending from the likes of Radiohead, Bon Iver, and Sufjan Stevens, the band delivers the whole palette, creating a truly intriguing and forward-thinking blend of genres, ranging from Alternative to Electronica.

Separator’s debut album, “The Static Speaks My Name”, was released in 2021 and features a range of songs that showcase the band’s innovative sound and unique approach to songwriting and production. The album is heavily influenced by electronic music and includes tracks like “Thin Sleeves,” “Numb_Days,” and “Hollow Earth.”

In addition to their debut album, Separator is known for their dynamic stage presence. Especially the unconventional use of the bass guitar as a solo instrument, the use of electronics, loopers and live visuals create a space that is both intriguing from a technical standpoint but also emotionally engaging.

Separator is equally invested in the craftsmanship of composition and recording as they are in the more subtle art of weaving an interconnected background of poetry, imagery, and the occasional cross-reference into their work.

With their distinct approach to music and powerful live performances and being known for challenging the status quo, Separator continues to push boundaries and establish themselves as a prominent act in the alternative pop scene.

Because of that, Separator is one of these artists that invite you to completely immerse yourself in – their music will swallow you whole

From the melancholic for the melancholic, Separator sound like the introverted version of a post-apocalyptic road movie. Lending from the likes of Radiohead, Bon Iver and Sufjan Stevens, they deliver the whole pallet from soft guitar-voice duets to heavy hitting electro rock smashers. The trio is equally as invested in the craftsmanship of composition and recording as in the more subtle art of weaving an interconnected background of poetry, imagery and the occasional cross-reference into their work. Because of that, Separator is one of these artists that allow you to completely immerse yourself in. Their music will swallow you whole.
